What do you mean "during the empire"? Like right after the Clone Wars? Cause didn't the Empire primarily use human recruits for the stormies

By "during the empire" I meant to separate the empire storm troopers from the later Disney stuff. However, it seems you may be right. I've only seen the movies, but I looked it up and apparently some of the expanded universe stuff suggests they were conscripted by the original film trilogy.

in one of the games (not sure if cannon) they stop making clones after order 66 so most new stormtroopers are human, otherwise there would be no point for an "academy"
